We never wanted a place that announces itself loudly. We tucked Hidden Eden into the Thaggati Valley for people like us — the ones who need a gentler pace, quieter spaces, and a more understated kind of luxury.
Everything here is shaped by wabi-sabi, ichigo ichie, and shinrin-yoku — three Japanese ways of seeing that we fell in love with long before we found this hill. They all say the same thing: slow down, pay attention, this moment will not come again.

We laid kintsugi-inspired granite tiles so every crack would be honored, not hidden. We let the land curve our roofs. Our walls hold the texture of the hands that made them. The bamboo shades — the sun weathered those to exactly the right colour. We just waited.
We don't manicure the farm. The pond has frogs. The trees are old and leaning. This is not a flaw in the design.

How far is Hidden Eden from Bangalore?
Hidden Eden is about 75 km from central Bengaluru — roughly a two-hour drive via NH44 through Hosur and Denkanikottai to Madakkal in the Thaggati Valley.
Is it a good farm stay for couples?
Yes. Hidden Eden is built for couples and families only — each of the three cottages is completely private, with a king and queen bed, an outdoor bathtub, and its own secluded sit-outs.
Is the whole cottage private?
Completely. No two groups ever share a cottage. Each cottage is yours alone for your stay, set 50 to 100 feet from the next, with a maximum of four guests.
Is there a swimming pool?
Yes — there is a common swimming pool with filtration for all guests. Ukiyo cottage also overlooks a natural lotus and water-lily pond.
What is included in the price?
All meals are included — lunch, evening snacks, dinner and breakfast — cooked by a local farmer family, plus an evening bonfire and a morning sunrise trek. Starting price is ₹15,000 per night for two guests.
Is there mobile signal or Wi-Fi?
Signal is limited by design — this is a digital-detox kind of place. Wi-Fi is available as an optional add-on on a best-effort basis, but most guests enjoy switching off.
Are pets allowed?
No — pets are not allowed, as we have six resident dogs of our own. Hidden Eden is also a strictly alcohol- and smoke-free property.
